Inktober 2018 ✍🏻

Hi all!
It has been a while - I’ve actually been surprisingly busy since getting back from America! Which is nice considering I thought I’d be completely out of whack after returning to the U.K.
I thought with the new academic year starting I’d find it weird adjusting to the fact that I’m not going back to uni, but it has been alright to be honest! I haven’t thought about it too much.
As you can probably tell from the title - and if you’ve seen pretty much all of my posts across all my social media - you will know that I took part in Inktober this year!
It was a very last minute decision, but one I’m glad that I did.
For those that don’t know, Inktober is a worldwide event, that anyone can take part in, where the aim is to draw every day throughout the month of October. More information about the rules can be found here: https://inktober.com/rules/
This is a yearly event but this is the first time I’ve ever thought to take part. I’ve always enjoyed following along with what others are doing, but I definitely enjoyed being involved this time around.
There is a prompt list posted on the official Inktober pages - which I chose to follow as it gave me more structure to what I was doing and considering I don’t draw as much as I used to, it gave me the inspiration that I know I would have struggled with throughout.
Now I will admit, I didn’t complete every day. As much as I would have loved to have filled my social media feed with 31 individual drawings, I did only manage 18 (better than nothing right?!).
Because of how my shifts are at work it sometimes made it difficult to make time to draw every single day. Also there were days where I was just genuinely too busy to think about drawing; but it was nice to have something to do during my breaks and downtime, which helped me relax and unwind a lot.
I had completely forgotten what a soothing effect drawing has over me, so it was nice to rediscover something that I haven’t properly felt in a good few years.
I’m really stuck to something. Even if I didn’t draw consecutively throughout the past 31 days, it was a challenge that gave me something to look forward to whenever I got a chance to do it.
All of my drawings are on all my social media pages, but I will pop all the pictures down below for those who don’t have access to look at them otherwise.
Cheers. 💕
