Hi all!
This is it, the moment I’ve been waiting for, for bloody ages now!! My boyfriend and I are finally on our way to America!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Anyone who knows me will understand how excited I’ve been for this - but then again, wouldn’t anyone?
We’re not away for very long, but I’m just looking forward to an amazing experience.
We’ve got a few plans already whilst we’re away, but a lot of what we want to do is mainly going for walks and exploring the National Parks that are close to where we’re staying.
We will be staying in Connecticut whilst we’re there, but also plan to commute and visit New York a fair amount- because we can’t visit and ignore what’s just around the corner.
As I wrote this we’re currently on the ferry leaving Samsø, but by the time this is posted we’ll be much further on in our journey.
I only had a brief visit to the island this time around, but it was nice to have some downtime with my boyfriend and his family before heading off on the main part of the trip.
It’s safe to say we’re a little bit nervous about travelling - 8 hours on a plane seems like an eternity when all you’re doing is anticipating being at the final destination. But (fingers crossed 🤞🏻) we’ll be feeling better when we’re up in the air.
I posted on Instagram yesterday stating how I wasn’t planning on posting much whilst I’m away - if at all to be honest. I have a lot of content planned for the next few blog posts, but my main one will obviously be a vlog/blog about our trip to America; and I’d rather tie that all together in one big post once we’re back and settled in the U.K.
But I am very excited for what I have planned and hopefully it’ll help me maintain a better routine than what I currently have, and make me a little more productive than what I have been!
Just one more thing to discuss before I finish this blog post: whilst I was in Samsø this week, my boyfriend’s mum made a comment about how much I’ve travelled this year. And I know I’ve touched on this subject before and have acknowledged how much I’ve been up in the air; but when I sit and properly think about it, I’ve really racked up the mileage in 2018!

I’ve travelled here and there quite a lot this year for various different reasons and I’m really grateful that I’ve been lucky enough to do so. I know a lot of it is down to my own decisions, but even so, it’s pretty mad to think about it from an overall perspective.
Anyway that’s all I had to ramble on about in this blog post. If I’m not posting on here in the next couple of weeks, I will definitely be active on my Instagram and Twitter throughout my time away.
Cheers for reading. X
