Hopes and ambitions for third year

Hi all!
I hope you're all well and the end of summer blues haven't hit you as hard as they have me (lol).
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love being back in the UK and it has been great to see my family, but I do miss everything about how I spent my summer holidays.
But now I'm back to business, preparing for what will be my busiest year yet: the final year of my degree.
I am terrified, to say the least. But I am very excited for what this year has in store. I just can't believe the I am going to *officially* become an adult in just under a years time!
I'm now halfway through my first week back and uni, and although deadlines are already looming and dates in my diary are becoming less and less free; at the moment, I'm feeling very inspired.
For those who don't know I'm currently studying Multimedia Journalism, and although I was apprehensive about the course to begin with, I couldn't be more happy with the degree I've chosen.
This brings me to the point of this blog post: my hopes and ambitions for third year.
Everyone's are bound to be different, and I can definitely say that my goals at the beginning of the course do not match my ambitions now.
Number one on my list is to finish university with a good grade.
This might seem glaringly obvious, but at the beginning of my second year I wasn't getting the best grades, and I was happy to finish university with a 2:2 overall. But after organising myself a bit more, becoming a bit more ambitious and taking on more tasks I definitely improved my grades. It's safe to say that I'm aiming for a 2:1/1st as my final grade.
2. Take on more broadcasting roles
This is one of those things that I would have never seen myself doing when I started university, now it's something I can't get enough of. I took on more roles such as presenting on TV and radio last year, but I'm hoping to do even more this year and start incorporating it as much as I can in any assignments; as well as trying to start and build a show-reel for myself.
3. Be more creative in my assignments
This sort of ties in with number two, but I feel like with some of my assignments in the past two years, I've played it a bit safe. Obviously I don't want to be over ambitious and complicate things, but I do want to try more things that I know I can do but haven't really incorporated.
4. Take this year as an opportunity to build more skills
Again, it sounds obvious, but it's completely true and necessary. There will be plenty of opportunities for me to challenge myself this year, and to build on skills that I already have. It'll be my chance to build a bigger portfolio before going into the adult world.
5. Do as much work experience as possible
I always try my best to as much work experience as possible, but sometimes it's not entirely possible. But with next year being the time where I will be looking to be hired, now will be the greatest opportunity to put myself out there more and build contacts with different people. It's also a great way to see what sort of career routes there will be potentially available for me, and whether I will actually enjoy them.
6. Enjoy the ride
I can go on and on and list each and everything I want to - and there is a lot - but I do really want to enjoy my final year at university and make to most of everything I can before finishing and *hopefully* starting a career. University has really helped me grow as a person: before I started I was happy just writing and doing photography, but now I'm aiming for something higher and it makes me happy.
If anyone else is entering their final year at uni, I wish all the luck in the world to you! It's scary, but I know everything will be worth it.
Also - just a quick side note before I sign off - I did mention on Twitter the other week that I was going to be involved in helping out with a project. And that project is a company called Fotonow's 'Central Park Memories' Project.
I helped collect some audio for them last week, whilst balancing work alongside it, but if you want to see what it's about there's a little bit posted about it in the link below:

Hope you've all enjoyed your week!
Speak soon. x
