A photographic diary

Hi all!

My first blog post of this week! It's only going to be a very short and visual one, but I wanted to get it up nonetheless.

I posted on my personal Instagram *ages* ago that I was documenting my time in Denmark through polaroid images. And now that I have this website/blog up and running, I thought it would be nice to share what I've gathered so far!

The polaroid camera was a gift for my birthday, and it has been really fun and enjoyable to use. There's something about being able to see your images printed out instantly that makes the whole process that much more exciting.

It took time getting use to the camera - the settings are pretty simple, but it still took some time playing around with to figure out how to get the best outcome. Because after all, the film is expensive, so I don't want to be wasting it!

Just an image on the train travelling up to London, where we stayed the night before catching our flight.

26.05.17

Another day of travelling: we visited Copenhagen Zoo, and waited hours for the ferry to Samso.

27.05.17

We woke up at about 6:00am despite being so tired from travelling, because it was so light outside and we had no blinds at the time! This day we went and spoke to our new manager, and watched my boyfriend's dad perform in the evening.

My first shift at work! I think these photos were taken before and after my shift.

01.06.17

We visited Brunbdy Mill, which isn't far from where we're staying. It was a really hot day, and the walk tired out the poor dog!

03.06.17

A very nice day! We went and had organic hot chocolate (as well as some chocolate treats!); very tasty. And then we took the dog for a walk along the beach.

04.06.17

This was taken after a shift, when we started to realise that maybe this wasn't the ideal job for us. We drank a lot of Captain Morgans!

No photos taken for a while, but in between this we visited my boyfriend's grandfather in Aarhus. This day we cycled down to the woods, got very lost, and knackered the poor dog out again!

19.06.17

This was taken at the golf course. Very blurry, but you might be able to see a snail!

27.06.17

Between these photos and the last I ran out of film, so had to wait for some new film to be delivered - it takes a while to get to the island! We went for a cycle, played golf, and I had a lovely nap - as pictured above.

28.06.17

My first time out paddle-boarding! It was a lot of fun, and I didn't fall in!

04.07.17

I went and watched my boyfriend play golf - I couldn't play this time because it was around the same time I burned my hand!

11.07.17

These were taken of an evening. The first image was taken because my last set of film was playing up, so I took the picture with a new set to test it out.

13.07.17

The last photo I took, nearly a month ago! It was my day off of work, and I enjoyed basking in the sun!

I haven't been taking as many photos recently because I've been saving film - but also because I've been working so much, there haven't been many opportunities to go out and take photos of new things. I am happy with the collection I have so far!

Once I'm back in the UK, I plan to scan the photos and upload them to Flickr; so once that's done I will let you all know if you'd like to view the final product.

I have an exciting blog post planned for Sunday, and I look forward to sharing it with you all!

Speak soon.x
