Catch up!

Hey all!

Sorry I haven't been posting daily as promised, but I do have my reasons for it!

As I put in my previous post, I visited Aarhus for the day - and even though I had planned to do some drawing on the ferry home, I didn't anticipate how tired I would be, so I thought better to leave it for the next day.

I started my drawing challenge as per usual, and then my boyfriend asked me to draw the art for his new song release. I was obviously happy to do so, but didn't realise how long it would actually take me.

Because it would be available for so many people to see - and the obvious fact that it's for my boyfriend - I wanted the piece to look as good as possible.

Long story short: it's still not done!

I mean, it's pretty much done, but until my boyfriend gets home from work, I can't really finish it off without adding the finishing touches he would like.

But I didn't want to miss another day on the blog, and wanted to keep you updated with how I'm getting along with my drawing challenge.

I am very much still carrying on with the challenge, I just - obviously - will be a few days behind, but I don't mind because the whole point of the challenge was to get me drawing again, which is exactly what I am doing.

So here is what the piece is looking like so far:

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with how it's looking so far, there's just still a lot of touching up and refining to do; but I'm quite chuffed considering how many years it has been since I painted!

It should all be finished by tomorrow, and hopefully I can finish up another drawing challenge too - but I will see where the day takes me.

I hope you're all enjoying your day: it's pretty miserable here in Denmark at the moment, but I don't mind the rain so much when I'm distracted doing something.
